1-13: March On Annapolis

AFP-Maryland was a proud sponsor of last night's successful "1-13: March On Annapolis" TEA Party where thousands of citizens filled Lawyers Mall in freezing temperatures to have their voice heard and demand a change in policy. Joined by other grassroots groups like Campaign for Liberty, Help Save Maryland, and the various TEA Party coalitions from across the state, AFP sent the message loud and clear: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Last night's rally was a warning to all the liberals in Annapolis that fiscal mismanagement will no longer be tolerated.

However, in order to take back our state, this cannot be the last time we make the trip to Annapolis. It is our duty to testify on important bills, communicate with our legislators on a regular basis, and have more TEA Parties. While AFP-Maryland will help organize and keep you up-to-date with bills going through the legislature, it will be up to you to take action and fight back.

I also want to mention the reports coming from the mainstream media in regards to crowd size. ABC2 News and WBAL portrayed the scene pretty accurately. The Baltimore Sun and other outlets used the Department of General Services (a department filled with appointments by Gov. O'Malley) which reported only "hundreds" in attendance. The lead photo on this blog makes it painfully obvious that the DGS report is bogus. Thanks to all who attended! Stay tuned for our next trip to Annapolis...
