Del. Frick's arrogant Tweet
The 'Culture of Entitlement' is alive and well with our legislators in Annapolis. On Thursday, 20 AFP activists from towns like Ocean City, Bel Air, and Chestertown made the long trip to Annapolis to testify on a couple of important bills. While our Field Director Nick Loffer was providing testimony on Gov. O'Malley's "jobs" bill, Del. Bill Frick (D-Montgomery Co.) made the snide comment you see above on Twitter.
Nick is not 22 years old (he is 26), and he was not lecturing anyone regarding "freedom" and "how business works." He was voicing his opinion, which happpens to be shared by small business owners across Maryland. Del. Frick also writes "This is my life." If that is supposed to a sarcastic comment, it certainly wasn't funny.
This is exactly the kind of behavior that the public is boiling over: politicians showing contempt when citizens express their opinions. Shortly after several blogs picked the story up, Del. Frick deleted his Twitter post. For shame.
