AFP CALLS ON LYNCH TO PRESERVE ALL BODI RECORDS

Also Files Right to Know Request For All Correspondence Between Lynch And Bodi

WINDHAM – Americas for Prosperity today called on Governor John Lynch to instruct his Administration to immediately preserve all state records related to embattled Liquor Commissioner Mark Bodi. The organization also filed a Right to Know request with the Governor asking for all correspondence, including any deleted records, between his office and the State Liquor Commission.

“We are very concerned that all state records related to Governor Lynch’s handpicked Liquor commissioner will be destroyed if he is removed from office or resigns. Commissioner Bodi has been accused of serious misconduct that threatens to undermine the public’s confidence in the Lynch Administration,” said AFP State Director Corey R. Lewandowski. “Governor Lynch must immediately instruct his Administration to preserve all records related to his handpicked Liquor Commissioner and pledge to make them available for public inspection.”

Additionally, AFP filed a Right to Know request with Governor Lynch asking for all records including correspondence and emails, between his office and the State Liquor Commission. The request includes all emails that may have been deleted and are stored on the State’s backup system.

“Mark Bodi is one of Governor Lynch’s top appointees and was a major donor to his political efforts. The serious allegations that have been made against Commissioner Bodi raise serious questions about the ethical standards of the Lynch Administration. The public has a right to inspect all communications between Governor Lynch and Commissioner Bodi to ensure public confidence in state government,’ said Lewandowski.
