Ben Nelson's Million Dollar Ads

Do you remember the TV ads during Nebraska’s bowl game (where we crushed Arizona, who else is excited for 2010?!?) and Sen. Ben Nelson came on the air explaining he ‘listened’ to Nebraskans during the health care debate?

Of course that wasn’t true, poll after poll confirmed the overwhelming majority of Nebraskans opposed the government health care plan. Nebraskans knew what politicians apparently did not – Washington, D.C. should not manage our health care.

I want to share an interesting new piece of the story – just days after Sen. Nelson cast his decisive vote for NelsonCare the national Democratic Party from D.C. transferred nearly $1 MILLION to the Nebraska Democratic Party to run those TV ads.

Call Sen. Ben Nelson today; it is time he set the record straight. We deserve to know if he was promised money by the Democratic Party to run those ads, and how much he was promised for his vote!

Omaha – (402) 391-3411
Lincoln – (402) 441-4600
Scottsbluff – (308) 631-7614
Kearney – (308) 293-5818
South Sioux City – (402) 209-3595
Washington, D.C. – (202) 224-6551

$1 Million in national Democratic money is transferred to Nebraska just days after Sen. Nelson’s decisive vote for a bill his constituency overwhelmingly did not want. It simply does not pass the smell test. Nebraska voters deserve to know from Sen. Nelson – what were you promised and when?

IF YOU ARE IN THE OMAHA AREA – Tomorrow we are protesting outside Sen. Nelson’s Omaha office. Actually, we have protested his vote for NelsonCare every Thursday, from 11:30am to 12:30, every week for the last 8 months. If you can make it, we would like for you to join us, this Thursday at Sen. Nelson’s office at 11819 Miracle Hills Dr., Suite 205, Omaha, 68154.

Thank you for your efforts for transparent government!
