Most Sponsors of HR 676 (Canada-Style, Single-Payer Health Care) Voted to Keep Funding ACORN

It's outrageous but not surprising that supporters of a Washington health care takeover voted to fund ACORN, when you consider that ACORN is on the Steering Committee of Health Care for America Now, the biggest interest group pushing for Washington-run health care.

While the full House voted by a large margin (345 to 75) to stop federal funding for ACORN today, it was a very different story among the 85 hard-left Democrats who are sponsors of H.R. 676, the most extreme supporters of a total Washington takeover of health care.

Among those 85 supporters of single-payer Canadian-style health care, 49 of them (58%) voted to keep sending ACORN tax dollars. Only 32 of the 85 voted to cut off taxpayers funding for ACORN, despite all of this recent scandals and legal trouble.
