As Investor's Business Daily explains, government is spending a lot of money per green job created. Among the giant subsidy-suckers are Arizona-based First Solar and Mesquite Solar, which has a plant west of Phoenix.

For example, First Solar's Antelope plant got $680 million in subsidies in order to create 350 construction jobs and 15 permanent jobs--for an average of $1.86 million per job.
