Today's Senate debate is a key event toward the passage of this significant idea that many AFP members and other concerned citizens have worked hard to educate elected officials, friends, neighbors and community leaders about the economic growth Missouri can achieve without an income tax.

Serious discussion of tax reform is taking place in Missouri! Senator Chuck Purgason has sponsored Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) 29 to eliminate the Missouri income tax and replace it with a consumption tax. Economist predict that if Missouri takes this step, the state would see 20,000 new jobs created every year! Senator Purgason has named his measure the Missouri Jobs and Prosperity Act.
