Earlier this week we received word that the Health Care Freedom Act, House Joint Resolution 57, would be debated on Tuesday. Serious discussion of tax reform is taking place in Missouri! Senator Chuck Purgason has sponsored Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) 29 to eliminate the Missouri income tax and replace it with a consumption tax. Economist predict that if Missouri takes this step, the state would see 20,000 new jobs created every year! Senator Purgason has named his measure the Missouri Jobs and Prosperity Act.
